Bandar Enstek, 23rd November 2024 — Today, the groundbreaking ceremony for GoLog’s Smart RHDC took place in Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan.

This ceremony marks the official launch of GoLog’s initiative to enhance the export efficiency of Malaysia’s halal goods and agricultural products. This effort aims to further promote Malaysia’s goods in the international market.

In his speech, GoLog’s Founder and CEO, Ivan Chin Wen Hao, announced that this initiative will significantly improve logistics efficiency, enabling local manufacturers in Malaysia’s halal industry to expand their global reach. He emphasized that the project will create a conducive environment for foreign investors to enter Malaysia’s market and broaden Malaysia’s export channels. Additionally, GoLog’s intelligent cold chain logistics system will provide companies with more efficient solutions for delivering agricultural produce and frozen foods, supporting Malaysia’s economic growth in the agriculture and food industries.

He further added that the GoLog Smart RHDC will be Malaysia’s first fully automated AI-powered cold warehouse, revolutionizing storage and order-picking processes with high efficiency and accuracy. This facility will also empower local and international suppliers to import and export frozen goods while preserving the integrity and freshness of these products.

Due to its strategic location near air and sea freight hubs, the GoLog Smart RHDC will unlock new opportunities for producers by creating a dedicated export corridor to the Middle East and China, while adhering to international halal food standards, said Ivan.

During the ceremony, Investment NS, the state government’s investment arm, announced its full support for GoLog’s Smart RHDC. They expressed confidence in the project’s potential to attract more investment opportunities that will benefit Malaysia’s agriculture and food industries.

Malaysia’s Minister of Transport, YB Anthony Loke Siew Fook, who was present to witness the groundbreaking ceremony, congratulated GoLog on this monumental initiative to enhance the efficiency and resilience of halal product distribution within the global halal supply chain.

He also praised GoLog for creating a fair environment for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to compete with larger corporations by offering shared resources such as ambient storage and streamlined customs support, as well as resolving challenges like empty truck trips and loose cartons through its innovative platform

The Minister also addressed the government’s initiative to promote the use of smart technology to improve supply chain efficiency, offering tax exemptions of up to 70% and inviting new investors to join GoLog in this new venture, which is set to transform the region into a premier hub for Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and halal food manufacturing.

In summary, the establishment of GoLog’s Smart RHDC will strengthen Malaysia’s logistics system, stimulate economic growth, simplify trade processes, and meet the needs of businesses and consumers in the region. This is a significant step for Malaysia in the halal export sector, aimed at revitalizing the development of the global halal market.
